Welcome to ProSem today, Wednesday, June 22, 2022. Today, you are going to experience a self-paced & guided classroom, our topic is Ethics.
Your learning targets are:
I can test my implicit bias and reflect upon the results
I can consider local, real world ethics controversies and think critically about how they impact me
I can consider various ethical scenarios and think critically about possible problems and solutions
I can offer ideas on how to create space in my classroom for conversations about race, class, orientation, morals, values, beliefs

You may do these activities in ANY order that you choose.
Please make sure to check them off on the board up front as you complete them.
YOU are in charge of your time. Make sure you complete TWO activities in the time allotted: ONE of the choice activities and the REQUIRED activity.
After completing the choice and required activity, grab a reflection off of the resource table and complete.
Turn into Dr. G and debrief.

REQUIRED
AM I BIAS? (15 MIN).
Today you will take one of the The Implicit Association Tests (IAT). IAT measures attitudes and beliefs that people may be unwilling or unable to report. The IAT may be especially interesting if it shows that you have an implicit attitude that you did not know about. For example, you may believe that women and men should be equally associated with science, but your automatic associations could show that you (like many others) associate men with science more than you associate women with science.

First, you will be asked some demographic questions. To save time, PLEASE SKIP all the questions you can by looking to the lower left and selecting "decline to answer."
Next, make sure you select the WHITE BLACK RACE TEST! when the list of tests appears.
